Luis M_ & Sergio Layunta, both got together to spread out their diverse influences from Music, feelin´ preference about most underground sounds from New York at 70´s and earlies 80´s. This month's mix comes from mysterious newcomers, Homo & Erectus.

"Borne out of the loins of provincial destitude, these two bored teenagers locked horns on the dance areas, toilet cubicles and darts ockys of various local pubs and taverns. A love of alternative music, indigestion tablets and powerful local ale catapulted them into a heady and superficial brotherly bond that eventuated in the dj double act, Homo&Erectus. They quickly rose to prominence and within only 5 years were rocking the very same smoking area of their local where they’d once looked doughy eyed into the jukebox, daring to dream of a life as pub entertainers.  
 
Between them their influences spread as far a field as Aphex Twin, football chanting and forest moods. In their early days of experimentation they wobbled on the precipace of acceptably with a half witted homage to Throbbing Gristle’s front man, P-Orridge, which involved performing their dj set whilst inside two freshly slaughtered pig carcasses. The kids’ party that had booked them failed to appreciate the artist statement. But early hiccups aside, they blossomed into a tightly organised mobile unit that had one eye on the dancefloor and the other on the dj console – and that’s not figuratively speaking – they’re both boz eyed because of the excessive amount of masturbation that rural life bestows upon bored youths. 
 
It’s fair to say that they’re two steps ahead of game, but to the majority of listeners seeming one step behind; intentionally parodying those cool kids that have ‘their finger on the pulse’ by playing antiquated dance hits and faux pas disco numbers; those guilty pleasures that the cognoscenti frown upon, but secretly adore in the privacy of their own ipods. It’s a style almost as refreshing as it is confusing, once described as a melting pot of bravado, desire, abandon, spontaneity, regret….a bit like the process of procuring a high street kebab, only prolonged, and with more likelihood of leaving you with tinnitus.
